Years of industry experience: I officially started in 2016 and have been raised in travel. I'm 3rd generation in the biz.
Years with Charrisma: 6 years
Places Travelled: Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island, Quebec), Chile, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Egypt, England, Falkland Islands, France, Greece, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, The Vatican, Turkey, United States (Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Nevada , New York, Texas, Washington)
Travel Tip: Stay out of main tourist areas when looking for a place to eat on vacation or away from home. There will be tons of places around main attractions however, the places on side streets that may not look like much are ALWAYS the best in taste and price.
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?: On safari in Tanzania or Gorilla trekking in Uganda. It is so amazing experiencing wildlife in their natural habitat.
Best travel moment: In 2013 my family and I went on a cruise over Christmas around the horn of South America. The Falkland Islands were on the itinerary and due to the extremely rough waters, we were told that we weren’t sure if we would make it there. After 2 days at sea, we arrived and it was SO worth the wait. We spent a day in 4X4’s driving over tundra to Volunteer Point. This location is home to 3 species of penguins and 900 pairs of King Penguins. We spent the afternoon among penguins, watching them run down the beach into the ocean and dip in and out of their nests. It was amazing and forever a favourite memory.
Favourite type of cuisine: I love food in general..... my go to is Italian and I'm an Ice cream lover. there is always room and time for ice cream.
Most inspiring part of my job: COVID19 has posed unique challenges for our clients and for us. We successfully repatriated many clients at the onset of the pandemic as borders were closing in their path. The teamwork of Charrisma Travel Advisors, their availability to their clients and resilience makes me so proud to be part of this company and team. Hearing stories firsthand from clients and how happy they were to have us as advocates makes everything we do worth it.
